OMCT’s E-Bulletin offers clear and concise summaries of each CAT periodic consideration
of State reports. It is a useful tool for those who are interested in the work
of the CAT Committee but unable to follow each session and upcoming event in
depth.
OMCT’s Blog posts offer contributions from a variety of experts including
CAT experts, national civil society representatives, OMCT staff members,
academics and other persons experienced on the subject. It allows readers to
learn more substantive information on the CAT and read accounts from those with
experience of engaging with the CAT.

In October 2017, the States parties to the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment will elect five new members. To assist States parties to identify the most competent candidates, OMCT and Amnesty International, APT, ICJ, IRCT, FIACAT, Alkarama and Redress have developed a checklist for membership.
