Honduras: Joint written submission ahead of 3rd UPR review

The World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) and Centro para la Prevención, Tratamiento y Rehabilitación de las Víctimas de la Tortura y sus Familiares (CPTRT) submitted a report ahead of the third universal periodic review of Honduras, taking place in November 2020. The report focuses on the deplorable conditions of detention, the militarization of the prison system and management and the role played by CSOs and the National Preventive Mechanism (CONAPREV). Recommendations are made to prompt key legal and institutional reforms.
